1.1 Visiting our Website
When you visit our website, we will automatically collect and store some of your personal data such as the IP address, ID and type of your terminal device, the type and version of your browser, your operating system, the referrer URL, sometimes your activities on our website, and the time and length of your visit.
We need this data for the purpose of transferring the content you are requesting (texts, images, file downloads, etc.), for providing the website, improving our web offering, its functions and security, and for general administration purposes.
The processing of your personal data is lawful pursuant to art. 6(1)(f) of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Our legitimate interest is the correct operation of this website, the provisioning and improvement of its functionality, and the adaptation of our offering to the needs of our users.
We store the data for a maximum of 30 days to be able to detect and track misuse. Other than that, we immediately delete and render anonymous all user data, including a user’s IP addresses, as soon as they are no longer needed for the aforementioned purposes.
1.2 Using the Contact Form
You can contact us using the contact form on our website. If you do, we will store and process the personal data you enter in the form.
Your data will be processed solely for handling your contact request and your inquiry. If required to handle your inquiry, we may pass on your contact details to third parties (e.g. to partner companies).
The processing of this data is lawful pursuant to art. 6(1)(f) of the GDPR. Processing your contact request and your inquiry also constitutes our legitimate interest in processing your data.
We store and process the data you entered for as long as required for handling your inquiry. This rule shall not apply if statutory retention periods forbid deletion. In this case, data will be deleted after the applicable statutory retention period.
1.3 Tracking and Cookies
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies. Cookies are small text files that your browser saves to your terminal device. Cookies support website functionality and allow us to analyse and personalise your activities in order to make our offerings more user-friendly, effective and personal.
The first category of cookies, i.e. the ones supporting website functionality, are called functional cookies. Without them, you couldn’t visit our website.
Cookies and similar technologies needed for analysis and personalisation are called consent-based cookies. Saving these cookies is not a requirement for visiting our website. However, not using them may restrict your user experience and access to the website functions. These cookies are stored on your terminal device only if you consent to it.
We use the Usercentrics Consent Management platform supplied by Usercentrics GmbH, Sendlinger Straße 7, 80331 München, Germany, to obtain and store your consent in conformity with data protection legislation.
In this context, Usercentrics GmbH acts as the processor who GELITA sends personal data (consent-based data) to for the purpose of data processing. Consent-based data is comprised of the following data: date and time of your visit and/or your consent/denial and some device details. Data is processed for the purpose of conforming to statutory obligations (obligation to demonstrate consent pursuant to art. 7(1) of the GDPR) and for providing the associated documentation of consent pursuant to art. 6(1)(c) of the GDPR. Data is stored locally.
Consent-based data is kept for 1 year. Data is based on servers in the European Union.
Here you will find the Privacy Notice of the supplier of the Usercentrics Consent Management platform including further information on which data is collected and how you can contact the supplier.
You can change your cookie consent settings here at any time.
Your browser has settings to say that you wish to be informed of all cookies being set, that you allow specific cookies only, that you block specific or all cookies or that you wish cookies to be automatically deleted upon exiting the browser. Disabling cookies may restrict the website’s functionality.
Ensuring Website Functionality
We use cookies and similar technologies to ensure the functionality of the website. Without them, we couldn’t operate our website. For example, cookies allow us to
- save you preferred website language and similar settings for your next visit;
- spread website inquiries to various webservers (load balancing);
- give a uniform context (session) to multiple website inquiries;
- run a consent management with regard to cookies and similar technologies.
Our legitimate interest in data processing is to enable a smooth usability of our website.
This processing is lawful based on our legitimate interest pursuant to art. 6(1)(f) of the GDPR or art. 25(1)(2) of the German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act (TDDDG).

In some cases, we may also transfer your data to a non-EU or non-EEC country (third country). However, we transfer personal data only to third countries the European Commission found to ensure an adequate level of protection pursuant to art. 45 of the GDPR, or countries that bestowed on us appropriate personal data safeguards pursuant to art. 46 of the GDPR, or to countries you expressly consented to transfer your data to pursuant to art. 49(1)(a) of the GDPR.
